Michał Biedrzycki

The story of the Biedrzycki farm represents a bold transformation spanning two generations. What began as a traditional apple orchard evolved into a specialised blueberry enterprise in 2010, when Michał Biedrzycki redirected the family's agricultural focus completely.

Today, Michał manages 19 hectares dedicated exclusively to blueberries, producing premium Duke, Draper, Bluecrop, Bluegold, Elliot, and Liberty varieties each season. The farm prioritises fruit quality—particularly firmness and size—while practising environmental stewardship through minimal pesticide use, natural fertilisers, and precision irrigation.

The story of our family farm spans three generations, transforming from a traditional fruit orchard into a specialised blueberry enterprise. Originally cultivating a diverse range of fruits including apples, pears, plums, and cherries, our farm underwent a significant transformation in 2017 when we committed fully to blueberry production.

Today, we manage 13 hectares, with 9 hectares dedicated to blueberries. Our varieties include Duke, Toro, Draper, Bluecrop, and recent additions of Calypso and Bluegold, reflecting our commitment to innovation in blueberry cultivation.

The farm combines modern technology with sustainable practices, featuring automated irrigation systems and organic fertilisation methods. Our dedication to quality and sustainability is validated through GlobalG.A.P. certification, while our GRASP certification underscores our commitment to worker welfare.

Beyond production, we actively contribute to the local community through job creation and knowledge sharing about sustainable farming practices. As third-generation farmers, we take pride in our dual focus: preserving our family's agricultural heritage while embracing the latest innovations in blueberry cultivation.

Our participation in BerryPoint connects us with like-minded growers committed to excellence in berry production, as we continue to nurture both the land and our community for future generations.

Berry Point Blueberry Grower Damian Kuca

Damian Kuca

The story of this blueberry farm began with Andrzej Trela, who was inspired by a film about blueberry bushes while attending agricultural school in 1982. Initially focusing on cucumbers and tomatoes, his fascination with blueberries led him to start small experimental plantings. The success of these early fruits convinced him to gradually shift his focus, until 2012 when he committed fully to blueberry production.

The farm, started in 1999 by Andrzej and Bozena Trela, is now run by their daughter Maria and her husband Damian Kuca. Today, they manage 22 hectares growing varieties including Duke, Draper, Liberty, Jolene, Barbara Ann, Loretto, Arabella Blue, Valor, Cargo, Calypso, and Bluecrop. The farm features modern facilities including cooling chambers and a sophisticated 10-weighing sorting and packing line.

Their commitment to quality is evident through multiple certifications including Global Gap, GRASP, Tesco Nurture, Leaf Marque, and IP. The Kucas pride themselves on implementing cutting-edge cultivation technologies, maintaining water-saving irrigation systems, and fostering knowledge exchange among fellow highbush blueberry producers.
